ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Identify and help to develop strategic relations with potential customers in the hydrogen fuel / clean energy industry.
  2. Maintain customer relationships through regular contact and customer service.
  3. Make contacts with potential customers to create new business opportunities.
  4. Assist in the writing of proposals.
  5. Assist in the development of marketing literature.
  6. Find solutions to customer problems.
  7. Keep up with changes in customer environments.
  8. Understand all of the FOA’s service offerings and clearly communicate them to clients and prospective customers.
  9. Attend trade shows, seminars, conferences and hydrogen fuel industry training programs.
  10. Read publications regarding emerging markets and trends in hydrogen fuel / clean energy technology.
  11. Generate standard monthly reports and customized reports for customers.
  12. File weekly or monthly sales reports with managers.
  13. Recommend short-term and long-term strategies for business expansion through new product lines or enhanced marketing techniques.
  14. Assist with development of brochures and other marketing literature.
  15. Assist with website content.
  16. Establish and maintain knowledge of products and service offerings.
  17. Analyze corporate data to identify trends.
  18. Resolve customer complaints.
  19. Make cold calls for new business.
  20. Qualify new prospects.
  21. Coordinate with other associates to increase sales.
  22. Make sales calls and follow up.
  23. Generate sales reports and analyze numbers.
  24. Schedule meetings and presentations.
  25. Assist with or conduct presentations for prospective customers.
  26. Keep customer database current.
  27. Keep prospective customer database updated.
  28. Participate in continuing education courses to stay abreast of hydrogen fuel / clean energy technology and trends pertinent to the industry.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
3+ years of experience in the industry preferred.

Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Additional language skill in Japanese is a big plus, but not a must.
