Tax Accountant

We are a growing CPA firm seeking an experienced Accountant with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our team. This role requires proficiency in tax preparation, financial statement preparation, and expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling complex client engagements, including correcting significant QuickBooks errors and ensuring financial data integrity.
Salary
$60,000 - $80,000
Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation:
  
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and corporations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, adhering to all applicable tax regulations.
• Financial Statement Preparation:
  
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to provide clients with meaningful insights and recommendations.
• QuickBooks Management:
  
  • Review and clean up client QuickBooks files, ensuring accuracy in bank reconciliations, loan balances, credit card reconciliations, and other financial transactions.
  • Diagnose and correct errors made by clients or previous accountants to restore QuickBooks files to an acceptable level of accuracy.
  • Provide support to clients on QuickBooks usage and best practices to prevent future errors.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
• Tax Expertise: Strong knowledge of personal, partnership, S Corporation, and corporate tax returns.
• QuickBooks Proficiency: Extensive experience with QuickBooks, including troubleshooting, correcting errors, and performing reconciliations.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
