We are seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in hardware and software integration, testing, and evaluation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, testing, and improving automation software and smart infrastructure technology for the transportation industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams, customers, and stakeholders to apply systems engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct simulation and field testing of automated vehicles and connected infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures and generate performance metrics for hardware and software.
  • Investigate, develop, and test emerging transportation technologies.
  • Define functional requirements, performance metrics, and support planning, scheduling, and resource management for test campaigns.
  • What Sets You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or test environment.
  • Experience with hardware/software-in-the-loop test development and testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with quality assurance best practices and Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, hands-on, and able to self-teach.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (requires three years of US residency).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems, V2X messaging, and Connected and Automated Vehicles.
  • Experience with safety best practices for vehicle and pedestrian testing.
  • Proficiency in network administration and simulation tools.
