Job Title: Project Manager - Steel

The Company
I have teamed up with a reputable steelwork contractor in the heart of Raleigh NC. They focus on structural steel fabrication, specializing in the industrial world. They're family owned organization who have built their credibility from their class employees. Looking for a Project Manager, who can also do estimates. Ideally would like someone who has had some exposure to detailing as the role will focus on handling your own projects from start to finish.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize construction budgets by negotiating to reduce costs and save time.
- Coordinate schedules for materials, equipment, and installation to ensure timely project completion.
- Collaborate closely with detailers, estimators, and erectors to streamline project workflows.
- Review, revise, and submit shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage time effectively to meet client expectations and address their needs.
- Conduct site visits and attend meetings to stay on top of project progress and address any issues.
- Communicate and coordinate with general contractors, engineers, management, and architects to ensure project success.
Required experienced:
- 2 years experience in steel estimating
- 2 years experience as a steel project manager
- experience in steel detailing (ideal)
