Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking senior-level Electrical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.
Key Duties:

  • Develop design drawings.
  • Perform power system analysis modeling and calculations.
  • Perform equipment and cable sizing calculations.
  • Develop equipment and material specifications.
  • Develop procurement documentation.
  • Develop design configuration packages for configuration control and change management.
  • Design Building Information Modeling and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Review vendor submittals and integrate information into the design solution.
  • Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
  • Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
  • Coordinate with customer and end-user technical teams to mature design concepts and develop design solutions.
  • Provide technical support to construction in the completion of the electrical materials and equipment.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, and other common computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards as well as customer corporate guides and standards.
  • Broad knowledge of the application of Electrical Engineering design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing, and cable sizing.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems loads modeling and analysis.
  • Experience executing engineering design with Revit.
  • Experience performing calculations with ETAP.
  • Experience developing equipment configuration packages for procurement and maintenance.
  • Experience designing electrical systems with HEMP and security boundaries.
  • Understanding of mechanical and process engineering discipline drawings and system calculations, as related to electrical design requirements.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 9 or more years of relevant experience, including, drawings, calculations, and specifications for Electrical systems and equipment in nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building Electrical systems.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel Corporate Guides and Standards.
  • Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the U.S. (Electrical Engineering).
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
