What you'll be doing...
As a member of the VBG Enablement team, within the Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI&D) organization, you will lead a portfolio of innovative projects to enable AI, Machine Learning and Big Data initiatives - supporting growth and digital transformation in the Verizon Business Group (VBG).
In this role you will partner directly with leaders and subject matter experts at all levels - acting as liaison between the business and the AI&D technical teams to execute and deliver on projects that drive tangible benefit to Verizon. You'll be expected to anticipate company and industry trends and identify opportunities where AI can solve complex challenges. Not only managing these projects, but also driving their strategic direction. The ideal candidate will possess the acumen to plan for long-term success as well as the leadership skills to influence both business partners and technical teams around a shared goal.
- Driving large-scale and complex transformational programs to completion - to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Acting as a liaison between technology teams and business partners on wide-ranging projects.
- Working with business partners to transform ideation into tangible business outcomes.
- Translating business challenges and pain points into data-driven solutions.
- Managing communications to all stakeholders - including: project roadmaps, business cases, status updates, and executive readouts.
- Providing leadership and facilitating meetings and workshops with cross-functional teams.
- Conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses for decision-making.
- Providing actionable recommendations to top management.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks proactively, and escalate as needed for timely resolution.
- Brainstorming new ways of working to achieve program goals; challenge the status quo.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, information systems or other related technical discipline or four or more years of experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate large cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Experience with developing KPI's and business process improvement measurements.
- Familiarity with business systems & data warehousing concepts.
- Project management experience - including project plan development and strategy.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong critical thinking and quantitative skills.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master's degree, ideally M.S. or MBA.
- Two years of experience in change management and/or business transformation.
- Verizon Business Group (VBG) Experience.
- Experience in SQL, scripting/statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience in BI dashboard and visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlik or similar).
- Prior management experience.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
- Experience in sales operations, finance, product or customer care.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $212,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
