Job Summary
Provide the maintenance department planning and scheduling services and storeroom clerk support along with improving packaging equipment effectiveness by reducing unplanned downtime through the coordination direct responsibility of parts, equipment, files, and personnel.
Essential Functions
  • Process work requests and work orders.
  • Prepare and define work orders.
  • Communicate requirements with internal and external customers
  • Performs accurate cycle counts.
  • Manages the receipt and movement of goods in the SAP program.
  • Utilize GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholds the culture of Glanbia non-negotiables.
  • Active participation and/or ownership of Plant Pillars.
  • Identify materials, parts and labor for work orders.
  • Coordinate equipment shutdowns.
  • Compile requisitions and other parts acquisition documents.
  • Maintain and file blue prints and equipment manuals and equipment history files.
  • Coordinate employee training.
  • Ensure unplanned downtime on packaging equipment is minimized.
  • Function as lead person for PM, AM, and FI teams for packaging equipment.
  • Leadership abilities and the respect from the crafts person.
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

Qualifications
  • Must possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals.
  • May be required to work weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Have the knowledge in crafts to be planned.
  • Have the ability to plan work and foresee problems.
  • Must understand job planning, budgeting, and customer needs.
