DevOps Engineer

An elite hedge fund is looking to bring on a DevOps Engineer to their platform engineering team. In this role, you'll be the evangelist of the SDLC, implementing best development practices, and expanding the firm's AWS platform.

What you'll do:

1. Manage and standardize the software development life cycle, working closely with developers to enhance developer experience.
2. Drive DevOps strategy while leading DevOps and Development best practices.
3. Manage CI/CD pipelines, helping to improve code deployment quality and speed.
4. Write code to automate infrastructure and app deployment.
5. Share on-call responsibilities.
6. Support and expand the Kubernetes container platform.

What you'll need:

1. 3-8+ years of hands-on experience.
2. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3. A background in software development, expertise in Python programming.
4. Proficiency with CI/CD and configuration management tools.
5. Bonus: experience with containers and Kubernetes, cloud architecture, open-source contributions, and relevant certifications.

This role must sit out of the firm's Chicago office, working in person 4 days per week, 1 day remote.
