Dentist

Requirements: PROFESSIONAL DEGREE IN DENTAL MEDICINE, DENTAL SURGERY, OR ANY RELATED FIELD + LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

Duties:

1. Examine patients, diagnose teeth and gum diseases, or abnormalities, and formulate appropriate plan of treatment.
2. Administer anesthetics and use of nitrous oxide.
3. Use air turbine and hard instruments, dental appliances and surgical implements.
4. Advise and instruct patients regarding preventative dental care.
5. Design and make fit prosthodontics appliances.
6. Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures, and provide preventative and corrective services.
7. Write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications.
8. Treat exposure of pulp by pulp capping, removal of pulp from pulp chamber, or root canal, using dental instruments and fill pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials.
