Job Summary:

As a Shift Lead at Seva Kitchen & Bar, located at voco the Cadence in Niagara Falls, New York, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your designated shift. This position is a full-time, hourly supervisory role, responsible for overseeing the front of house staff and providing exceptional hospitality to our guests. You will work closely with the hotel management team to maintain the standards and reputation of Seva Kitchen & Bar and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant and our overall hotel in Niagara Falls. 
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $17 to $20 per hour plus tips , and is paid on a weekly basis. As a full-time employee, you will also be eligible the following benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the opening or closing procedures for each shift, ensuring all tasks are completed and all areas of the restaurant are clean and organized.
  • Supervise and direct staff members, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, to ensure that all guests receive efficient and friendly service.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure all staff members are performing at a high level.
  • Handle any guest concerns or complaints and address any issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders for supplies and ingredients to ensure the restaurant is adequately stocked
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for improving service and increasing sales
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to maintain the quality and consistency of food and beverages served.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests and team members at all times.


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a strong knowledge of hospitality standards.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems and inventory management software is a plus.
