The Vice President, North America (NA) Regional ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Head will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's information technology and systems. The VP, NA Regional ICT Head will enable data and technology to help the North American Business meet and exceed our business objectives. This is inclusive of strategic leadership, technology management, budget and financial management, innovation and change management, data security and compliance, team leadership and development, and vendor and stakeholder management.

Essential Functions

  • Understand the company's growth plans and design and develop a strategy that will not only support but will help drive this growth.
  • Ensure that ICT operations are maintained, scalable and responsive to company current and future goals and objectives.
  • Deliver innovative technologies and initiatives to help support, enable and encourage sales growth and cost reduction.
  • Enable the vision for North America region's digital transformation by working with their leadership team, the head of strategy, and functional collaborators from commercial.
  • Collaborate with KKC in developing the data management, quality roadmap, and technology strategy.
  • Ensure that appropriate levels of controls and processes are established to maintain legal and regulatory compliance across all areas of responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and insight for all departments and locations on the use of IT solutions to help them meet their objectives and/or provide new opportunities.
  • Maintain budgetary responsibilities.
  • Manage and develop the ICT North America teams.
  • As a member of the ICT Global Leadership Team, actively contribute to the strategy and operational effectiveness of the company.
  • Define and activate effective digital activity reporting and performance measuring, and drive analysis to uncover insights, continuously refining campaigns, and customer/patient experience.
  • Closely liaise with commercial leaders and the Regional Executive Committee to ensure progress and alignment of the regional digital approach and operating model.
  • Work in partnership with the Insights & Analytics and Commercial Operations leads to define and activate effective cross-organization activity reporting and drive organizational understanding of insights and action to update operations based on these insights.
  • Work with internal functional peer group to ensure all customer (internal & external) and functional needs are being met.
  • Communicate and integrate as appropriate with globally owned IT infrastructure and interlock directly with the global ICT & Digital department at HQ in Kyowa Kirin (KKC).
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to provide guidance and direction as a change agent and enabler of infrastructure, systems, and security across North America and Global where required.
  • Ensure that people, process, and technology are aligned to current and future business goals and provide compliant, secure, and stable solutions across a diverse range of functional requirements in a highly regulated industry.
  • Provide effective business partnership across all Kyowa Kirin North America functions and aligning to global ICT teams to advise, and lead as necessary, on technology, process and security that drives customer excellence and brings new capabilities.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on the full lifecycle of the digital and data platforms to ensure that technology and process are an enabler to customer and patient engagement through the delivery of an integrated and aligned digital strategy across the North America region.
  • Act as a liaison with global functions (R&D, Medical, SCM, Manufacturing, etc.) to align with global sub-function heads in ICT organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, or Business field required. Advanced Degree in Technical, Engineering field or MBA preferred.

Experience

At least 15+ years of experience in an ICT leadership role – with no less than 5 years of people & team leadership experience. Extensive, relevant experience with expertise in ICT with hands-on experience in several of the following areas: Commercial Analytics (Analytical Modeling, Forecasting and Pharmaceutical Market Research Data Sources); Research & Development, Pharmacovigilance / Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain/Manufacturing/ERP and other corporate functions are preferred.
