As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented and experienced Designer/assistant. PM with expertise in AutoCAD and wall paneling design.
About the Role:
The Designer/Asst. PM will play a crucial role in our design and project management processes, primarily focusing on creating detailed designs for wall paneling in multifamily and single-family homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong AutoCAD skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering innovative and high-quality design solutions. This position offers the potential for career advancement into a Project Management role, where you will lead and manage projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD software to create accurate and detailed designs for wall paneling in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Generate design documentation, including drawings, plans, and specifications, to communicate design intent effectively.
- Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of design drawings to address feedback and ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and regulations to incorporate best practices into design solutions.
- Assist in project management tasks, such as coordinating with stakeholders, scheduling, and budget management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience 2+ years) working as a Designer, preferably in the construction or architectural industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design capabilities.
- Solid understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in project management or a strong interest in transitioning into a Project Management role.
