DescriptionAs an Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll work with designers and drafters to develop and review design drawings, including general arrangements, elevations and equipment connection details, grounding plan and details, conduit plan and details, control building layout and details, foundation plan and details, and developing material lists.Perform studies and calculations to properly design substations, including grounding calculations, lightning protection calculations, battery bank sizing calculations, conduit fill calculations, and substation sizing calculations, as well as perform AC & DC substation studies.Work in conjunction with other internal teams specializing in civil/structural, protection and controls, and automation.Provide input to Project Managers and the Business Unit Leader concerning potential process and design improvements related to engineering design and technologyFollow systems of quality control and checking on all projects assignedAssist in preparing proposals for the business unit by estimating engineering hours as an engineering discipline leadDevelop and maintain quality relationships with clientsConduct periodic site visits and walkthroughs, estimating, and attending scoping meetings.Maintain a collaborative spirit in working with within the Business Unit (BU) and with other BUsPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessaryRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited universityElectrical modeling and simulation software experience with ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower experience.Experience in refining, chemical, petro-chemical, power generation, or manufacturing facilitiesMinimum of 5 years of work experienceCollaborative approach to problem solvingStrong communication skillsAbility to build relationships with clients and staff membersDeveloping industry contacts and knowledge of the industryUnquestioned business and personal integrityRegistration as a professional engineer is preferred, but not requiredOutside of the KY, WV, OH tri-state area we would consider candidates in these areas: Chicago IL, Houston TX, Pittsburgh PA, Martinez CA, Canton OH, and Denver CO.Who We Are:ENTRUST Solutions Group, an ENR Top 100 company, is a community of people, 3,000+ strong, who are committed to our clients and each other.
