POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial expertise to support decision-making at Kilbourne Group. The Financial Analyst acts as a business partner to provide guidance to internal development and operations teams, as well as assist leadership with making investment decisions. This includes analyzing and making recommendations on a variety of real estate investment projects, operational initiatives, revenue management opportunities and strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS
- Create and analyze pro forma financial statements
- Help secure financial for property acquisition and development projects
- Assemble and present market research and trend analysis to support decision-making around real estate prospects in downtown Fargo
- Maintain and develop various financial models and tools for budgeting, analytic review and decision making
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to the CFO
- Analyze actual results in comparison to plans and forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending actions
- Analyze and interpret data to create comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Compile, interpret, analyze, and summarize financial data to create reports on financial status and risks, considering the company’s strategic goals
- Develop and maintain Fund model with guidance from management
- Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports and presentations
- Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collecting operational data
- Prepare monthly budget and cash flow variance reports for Kilbourne LLC and consolidated entities.
- Preparation of business line P&L analysis.
- Develop and prepare the fund liquidity model and Kilbourne liquidity file
- Assist in the profit share calculation for corporate entities.
- Complete monthly draw requests
- Complete quarterly tie outs of pre-acquisition balances for funds and Kilbourne
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
- 2 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial real estate or financial analysis preferred
