We are seeking a dynamic and experienced strategic leader with a passion for commercial banking to drive the strategic growth and development of our Middle Market Banking Business. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of commercial banking by leading a team of Relationship Managers, deepening client engagements, and delivering innovative financial solutions that address the evolving needs of middle-market clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the growth and retention of a portfolio of middle-market clients through exceptional relationship management. Understand client priorities and challenges, offer strategic advice, respond swiftly to needs, and manage expectations to foster lasting partnerships.

Team Management & Development:

  • Build, mentor, and guide a high-performing team of Relationship Managers. Ensuring the team excels in structuring and renewing cash flow and real estate loans, alongside providing industry-specific solutions.

Process Improvement & Risk Management:

  • Identify areas for process enhancements and risk control, contributing to the evolution of the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group. Implement policies and procedures to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Make key decisions about team resources, operational priorities, and business objectives. Empower your team to align with the firm’s strategic goals while ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams, product management, and senior leaders to drive business results. Act as a senior representative for the firm in client interactions, external engagements, and high-level issue resolution.

Talent Development & Resource Allocation:

  • Drive team growth and performance by mentoring, hiring, and developing talent. Manage the allocation of people and financial resources to meet both client needs and business objectives.

Sales & Relationship Planning:

  • Lead your team in maintaining discipline around sales pipelines, driving relationship-building activities, and ensuring accurate client information is captured in relevant systems.

Product & Innovation Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Commercial Lending Product Management to shape credit product offerings that meet evolving market demands. Provide insight into client and industry trends to inform the design of new solutions.

Client Growth & Business Development:

  • Lead efforts to identify and attract new commercial banking clients. Develop strategies to build profitable, long-term relationships by leveraging your team’s market expertise and delivering superior customer service and flawless deal execution.


We are looking for a visionary leader with

  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Relationship Management with proven experience with middle-market clients
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and driving business results.
  • Strong commercial credit background, including portfolio management and credit underwriting.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products and related compliance and risk requirements.
