The U.S. Personal Banking Analytics (USPBA) team, which unifies Cards, Retail Bank, and Digital analytics, will collaborate with the digital delivery, marketing, technology, and product teams to scale this data-driven strategy. USPBA will drive best-in-class digital analytical sophistication that ingests real-time data and engages prospective and current customers in a contextual, personalized manner powered by advanced analytics insights.


The 'Head of Prospective Customer Decisioning and Branded Cards & Lending Analytics' will be a key member of the USPBA leadership team and play an integral role in delivering top-tier analytical sophistication. This leader will be responsible for balancing a customer journey approach to analytics while ensuring healthy channel & product level engagement. As such, this position has a dual role of driving strategic insights to acquire new-to-bank customers as well as building and maintaining a strong partnership with the U.S. Cards Leadership Team to ensure USPBA is shaping and meeting their analytics needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in both analytics and delivering value through the implementation of strategic marketing efforts that stimulate customer acquisitions. This role will report directly to the Head of US Personal Banking Analytics.


The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to (Across all US Personal Banking):
  1. Build advanced analytics platform to attract new-to-bank customers through customized offers at a cost-efficient price point.
  2. Deliver on-boarding customer experience analytics to ensure significant improvement in conversion funnel and mitigation of attrition during on-boarding as well as early tenure of customers.
  3. Develop pricing and product analytics based on data-driven segmented insights on price as a tool to improve conversion.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced analytics competency, with expertise in leading change through sophisticated data-driven insights - 10+ years in leadership roles requiring in-depth knowledge of data science.
  • Track record of understanding and engagement with advancements in the data science field, including success in the adoption of increasingly sophisticated tools and technologies to accelerate sophistication of analytics insights.
  • Strong business analysis competency with historic success in shaping opportunities via conceptual thinking and abstract problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills to engage with C-Suite leadership, and demystify technical intricacies in language and context relevant to a broader audience.
  • Financial acumen to shape the economic implications of decisions driven by advanced analytical data models.
  • Empathy and ability to collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions and levels of seniority. Growth mindset and commitment to influence without authority, demonstrating a willingness to listen and be a student while also shifting to a teacher when needed.
  • Bias for action that measures value not in insights, but in translation of insights into actions - and manifestation of actions in measurable scale financial metrics.
  • Demonstrable leadership acumen that inspires and challenges teammates to deliver positive change in complex, heavily matrixed organizations is required. This leader must challenge boundaries and legacy processes to shape the culture of the micro and macro team.

Education:
  • Technical competency in a highly analytical field is required.
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science or related field from a top-tier university preferred.
  • MBA from a highly rated program, with management consulting experience is also preferred.
