Department Overview

Motorola Solution’s Video Division provides trusted security solutions to the global market. Avigilon designs, develops, and manufactures video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Motorola’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  1. Develop production quality computer vision and artificial intelligence visualization, evaluation, testing, and analytics tools
  2. Develop tools and automation for automated CI/CD pipelines
  3. Review code of peers for adherence to coding standards and design guidelines
  4. Evaluate and utilize the latest concepts, tools, and technologies
  5. Collaborate with the computer vision and deep learning teams to understand relevant use cases and with the software engineering and testing teams to identify test cases for new features and areas for regression tests
  6. Develop test systems for edge analytics and cloud based features
  7. Use industry best practices and methodologies to design and develop automation solutions

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  2. 1+ years of experience professionally writing production quality code on Linux OS
  3. Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Python, C#)
  4. Web development experience (React, JavaScript, TypeScript)
  5. Experience with databases (PostgreSQL)
  6. Experience with build systems, and version control systems
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  8. Self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly and independently, and work within an Agile team
  9. Highly organized, detail oriented, passionate, creative, and curious
  10. Ability to thrive in an autonomous, empowering, and exciting environment

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

  1. Exposure to Agile software development practices
  2. Experience with image processing, OpenCV, deep learning
  3. Some experience with C++
  4. Experience with Microsoft Azure Pipelines and/or GITHUB actions and DevOps concepts in general.
  5. Exposure to container and container environments, such as Docker / Kubernetes
