Procurement Specialist

LHH is currently accepting applications for a Procurement Specialist for a hybrid position with a client located in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a direct hire position, and you must reside within reasonable commuting distance to Cleveland to be considered for this position.
Hybrid Monday and Friday, regular business hours.
Pay Rate - $33-$36 / hour
Procurement Specialists build vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products for their company, as well as these other responsibilities:

• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
  
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  
• Track inventory and restock goods when needed.
  
• Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
  
• Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
  

Competencies:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable practices/techniques
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbal and written
Ability to participate as a team player and positively influence group activity
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Working knowledge of interfaces between accounts payable and other financial systems
Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience
1-3 years experience in procurement, supply chain or sourcing
Strong knowledge in the use of P2P and/or ERP systems; experience with GEP SMART and Oracle is a strong plus.
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficient in MS Word
P2P Experience
Coupa Experience Preferred
