Quality Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure compliance to the quality management system and to ensure production and delivery of defect free product to Atlas Molded Products customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned)

1. Understand and support the Quality Management System.
2. Understand and support regulatory & workmanship standards.
3. Perform in-process and final quality checks on the product.
4. Communicate product testing needs with production.
5. Perform various testing of product.
6. Maintain procedure books and forms as directed.
7. Calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.
8. File quality records according to the quality records table.
9. Perform internal audits as directed.
10. Data Entry.
11. Communicate any quality concerns with Plant Manager & Director of Quality.
12. Perform such other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
13. Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
14. Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
15. Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
16. Must be able to operate measuring and testing devices.
17. Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
18. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
2. Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
2. Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
2. Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
