Accounting Manager

Position Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of cash and revenue transactions to the general ledger and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and supervise and train the Accounting Supervisor, Grants Staff Accountant and Staff Accountants

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking partial remote work. This position is in office only 2-3 days per week with the balance of time working from home.

Salary $105,000 to $120,000

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• 4 years of not-for-profit cash, revenue, and grants experience
• Relevant experience in supervising staff of 2 or more
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and single audits
• Familiarity with accounting programs and software, advanced Excel knowledge; experience and knowledge of NetSuite a plus
• Outstanding problem-solving skills
• Organization and prioritization skills with great attention to detail, accuracy
• Trustworthy with strong work ethic
• Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
• Must be able to work normal business hours including additional hours required during month-end, audit, and year-end periods.
• Work well under pressure.
• Thrive in a work environment that is deadline sensitive.

• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
