Under direction of the Foundation CEO, the Accounting Manager - Foundation is responsible for the management and oversight of the full cycle of accounting operations for the Foundation. The Accounting Manager position will prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to all company policies and procedures, and in accordance with GAAP.

Education & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of non-profit fund accounting and financial statement preparation experience.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license issued by the California Board of Accountancy preferred but not required.
Key Qualifications
- Must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting processes and their impact on financial statements. Comprehensive knowledge of GASB and FASB Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word & Outlook, including some advanced Excel functions. Excellent problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to articulate and embrace organizational values, integrate into management practices, and foster their manifestation among staff. Ability to perform independently. Communicate effectively within all organizational levels and with external vendors, both orally and in writing.
