A Day in the Life of an SMT Operator:

As an SMT Operator , you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality electronic assemblies using state-of-the-art SMT equipment. Your attention to detail and technical skills will contribute directly to the company's mission of delivering cutting-edge LED displays for the transportation market.


Responsibilities include:

  • Starting and operating screen printers, pick and place machines, and reflow ovens.
  • Loading materials into feeders and machines per engineering load charts.
  • Performing first article approvals and utilizing inspection equipment to ensure product quality.
  • Logging product data for efficiency and quality reporting in SMT processes.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting machine issues, escalating to technicians as needed.
  • Inspecting solder joints and component placements visually and with magnification.
  • Assisting in setup processes and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various tools in electronics assembly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good job attendance and reliability.
  • Reading comprehension and basic math skills (add, subtract, divide).
