ATA Services, Inc. is looking for a full-time Accountant to work with our client Hawaii's Emergency Management Dept. This position was created to assist with the emergency workload due to the August 8, 2023, Hawaii wildfire disaster. Please review the details listed below:
Hourly Rate: $27
Desired start date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm

Summary: Aids in constructing the weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports.
General Responsibilities:
- Prepares monthly expenditure report based on HI-EMA’s reporting system and format.
- Prepares quarterly financial statements for Emergency Management Preparedness Grants (EMPG).
- Prepares Major Disaster Fund (MDF), Mission Assignments, Individual Assistance Program, and other cost financial trackers.
- Constructs notes and comments to the financial documents, statements, and trackers.
- Builds a system to document and digitalize all financial statements, trackers, entries, and transactions.
- Analyze financial data and recommends ways to help HI-EMA run efficiently.
- Keeps account books and systems up to date.
- Other tasks related to financial reporting.
