Title: Software Integration Engineer

Location: Remote out of Chicago / Austin or SF ONLY - Please no relocation candidates

Salary: $140-150K

The purpose of this position is to lead the design, development, and implementation of robust integration solutions that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and support the client's strategic objectives. By leveraging advanced technical skills and a quick learning ability, this role aims to drive innovation, address complex integration challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions that align with the company’s evolving needs. The Software Integration Engineer will also provide technical leadership, guide project teams, and ensure the successful execution of integration projects, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of integration solutions, leveraging your ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies. Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  2. Development & Implementation: Rapidly develop, configure, and implement integrations using middleware tools, APIs, and custom scripting. Demonstrate versatility in working with various technologies and platforms.
  3. Data Management: Oversee accurate data exchange between systems, maintaining data integrity and consistency. Develop and apply data mapping, transformation, and migration strategies efficiently.
  4. Automation: Create automated workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency. Utilize your fast-learning skills to adapt automation strategies as technology evolves.
  5. Technical Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams. Drive best practices in integration development and deployment, and take ownership of project outcomes.
  6. Troubleshooting & Support: Monitor and troubleshoot integration performance issues. Offer timely resolutions and ongoing support to ensure continuous system functionality.
  7. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of integration processes, configurations, and changes. Produce technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals with precision.

Required Skills:

  1. Maximo Integration: Experience integrating IBM Maximo with other enterprise systems using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, and other relevant tools.
  2. Integration Platforms: Extensive experience with integration platforms such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Workato, Dell Boomi, or similar technologies. OIC strongly preferred.
  3. API Management: Proficient in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs. Experience with API management platforms and tools.
  4. Samsara Integration: Familiarity with integrating Samsara fleet management and IoT platforms with enterprise systems.
  5. Zonar Integration: We are transitioning from Zonar to Samsara in our fleet management. Familiarity with Zonar is a strong plus.
  6. Data Transformation & ETL: Strong knowledge of data transformation, ETL processes, and tools such as Talend, Informatica, or similar.
  7. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in deploying and managing integration services.
  8. Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for developing custom integration scripts and logic.
  9. Security: Understanding of security protocols and best practices in integration, including OAuth, SAML, and encryption standards.
  10. Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines for integration deployment.

Education and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 7+ years of experience in application integration, with a focus on enterprise systems such as Maximo (strongly preferred), Oracle OIC, Zonar, or Samsara.
  3. Proven ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and integration tools.
  4. Demonstrated versatility in handling diverse technologies and integration challenges.
  5. Strong leadership skills with experience managing complex projects and guiding cross-functional teams.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Outstanding communication skills, with the capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Certification in relevant technologies (Architecture Designer, Oracle OIC Certification) is a plus.
  9. Understanding of Kronos Time Tracking system is also a plus.
