We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Distribution Engineering Manager to lead a team of 20 engineers in our clients Chicago office. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of our engineering department. As a key leader, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of high voltage distribution systems while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.


This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office. The position offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to advance into a Director-level role in the coming years.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of 20 distribution engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the design, planning, and execution of high voltage distribution projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Drive department growth by identifying opportunities for new business and enhancing service offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, budgeting, and resource allocation to support department expansion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver technical innovation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience managing high voltage distribution projects and engineering teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to work in the Chicago office 2-3 days per week.
