The Role
As a Software Developer on the Mixed Reality team, you will work with a high-caliber team of researchers, product managers, 3D artists, immersive designers, and cross-discipline engineers to create Palantir’s next-generation of end-user experiences.
We work on high impact, critical mixed reality applications and 2D end-user devices. Applying next generation mixed reality hardware connected to critical sensors and data platforms, we partner with customers to develop applications that end users want to rely on, using state-of-art convolutional neural networks and computer vision functionality for complex user workflows.
Core Responsibilities- Architect, Develop, debug, document, and deploy performant Mixed Reality applications.
- Invent and improve novel techniques in immersive user experiences.
- Deliver excellent products that inspire confidence and delight our end-users.
- Develop rapid-prototypes and deployable code in augmented reality, virtual reality, and other immersive 2D and 3D user experiences.
- Create performant, power efficient applications for mobile-grade devices.
- Leverage modern application that use PaaS and IaaS for GPU rendering, scaling, and clustering.
- Motivated by solving problems and supporting customers by developing products that users can rely on.
- Ability to challenge fixed mindsets and push for innovation.
- Solution-driven mindset that thrives in nascent production development teams.
- Understanding of Defense and Intel industry product development.
- 6+ years experience in a software engineering role.
- Experience and familiarity with C, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, or Python is a significant plus.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a technical lead.
- 3+ years of of demonstrated experience shipping enterprise products built on Unity, Unreal or similar game engines.
- Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to acquire a US Security clearance.
