Information Technology Director
Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Director, serves at the administrator of all City information technology systems. Is responsible for planning, deploying, monitoring, and maintenance of City computer networks and system infrastructure. Will be required to work in conjunction with network technicians to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved as it relates to all information technology systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining computer networks and systems infrastructure.
• Deploys, monitors, and maintains software technologies.
• Designs, configures, deploys, monitors, and maintains enterprise campus networking.
• Serves as a liaison between City staff and information technology vendors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of network and system security policies.
• Implements and maintains data backup systems and protocols.
• Develops, coordinates, and manages information technology systems disaster recovery plan.
• Evaluates, recommends, and implements efficiency improvements based on new technologies.
• Maintains system processes and information documentation.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Professional, Apple MacOS, Apple iOS, and Linux Server.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMWare and Docker
• Ability to implement and manage Microsoft 365 services.
• Capability to implement updating tools including WSUS and PDQ.
• Familiarity with scripting languages including PowerShell and Python.
• Knowledge and experience with network technologies including, but not limited to, switching, routing, network security, WLAN, LAN, and WAN systems.
• Ability to meet Department of Justice background requirements.
• Required to obtain and maintain Department of Justice IT Vendor Certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Education and Experience:
• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate Degree, Technical Degree, or Technical Certification in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered as a substitute for relevant work experience requirements.
• Must have valid and current driver's license.

• Ability to up to 30lbs on regular basis.
• Walking, twisting, stooping, and bending on a regular basis.
• Must be able to sit at a workstation for extending periods of time.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders on heights up to 8ft.

Compensation: The salary range is $51, 046 - $72,652 annually. The starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate's level of experience.
