About The Role

The Risk - Identity Team keeps bad actors out of Remitly while designing toward seamless, frictionless experiences for our customers. Our team includes data scientists, analysts, MLEs, SDEs, product managers.

This role reports to the Analytics Manager, Risk - Identity.

You Will

  1. You will design and prototype a social graph model to represent relationships between senders and their common recipients.
  2. You will create new rule and machine learning features to precisely target and prevent first-party fraud, consumer fraud, and unwanted activity.
  3. You will develop ways to inspect communities and assess their overall risk.
  4. You will build new algorithmic approaches for stopping bad financial activity before it can be attempted.

You Have

  1. 3+ years experience in analytics, data science or consulting role.
  2. 3+ years experience using SQL and Python or R for analysis.
  3. A degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or other quantitative field (or equivalent additional experience).
  4. Experience in machine learning or applied statistics in at least one of the following domains: graph modeling, statistical modeling, network science, marketing science, relational learning, model evaluation or generative AI.
  5. Experience managing analytics projects from creation to delivery, including starting from a business problem, developing hypotheses, building analytical frameworks, and writing analysis documents to influence teammates.
  6. The confidence to state and defend your decision-making process to both individual contributors and leaders.
  7. The creativity to brainstorm solutions in a constrained environment.

Compensation Details
The starting base salary range for this position is typically $132,000-$165,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
