As a Director of Social Work you would be responsible for developing, monitoring, and supporting a diverse suite of programming and staff to meet the needs of at-risk refugee and immigrant populations. Responsibilities include continuous quality improvement, program and financial administration (including program management), program development, and staff development. Successful candidates will have a strong focus on program administration from a trauma-informed, person-centered, intercultural practice lens, and implementing micro skills sets in meso/macro practice.

Essential Responsibilities:
Direct clinical supervision
Develop and implement department protocols
Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
Oversee the design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of the applicable programs, products and services.
Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
Read reports prepared by managers to determine progress and issues
Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
Grant management includes writing grant proposals, data collection and analysis for grant reporting and quality improvement.
Represents IISTL in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
Where applicable, participate in fundraising planning, implementation, and evaluation, including resource requirements and identification of potential funding sources.
Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
Provides weekly or monthly supervision and prepares annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
Serve as a member of the leadership team and collaborate with other departments to ensure integration of services agency wide.
Performs other tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Requirements:
Proven experience as program director or other managerial position
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
Working knowledge of MS office and program management software
A business acumen with a strategic ability
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Relevant community outreach or organizing experience
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
MSW - (LMSW or LCSW preferred)
7-10 years Social Work experience working in a non-profit setting
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program management, including designing, implementing, and evaluating social work programs that meet business needs
Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, budgeting, and grant post award administration
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising and mentoring a multidisciplinary team or social workers and interns, including fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment
