Acclimate Technologies, Inc. is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM) who is passionate about creating and delivering innovative software products in challenging environments within aggressive timelines. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with the Acclimate team to oversee all activities relating to researching, architecting, and marketing products for Acclimate Technologies. The duties include completing market research to discover more about competitor products and customer needs, overseeing a team of developers, developing product budgets, and coordinating with the customer service department to identify potential product defects or customer enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
- Work closely with the development team to deliver new products with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Drive product launches
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
Requirements
- Proven work experience in technical product management
- Experience in EDI, Process Automation, and Workforce Empowerment, along with experience in Steel and Automotive Manufacturing.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible hours for work with overseas developers
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field such as computer science, production and operations management, manufacturing, or equivalent
- MBA is desired, not required
- Excellent time management skills and a self-starter
