Job Requirements / Description

Duties:

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Manage the HR department, including supervising and training HR staff.
  3. Conduct new hire orientations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  4. Well versed with administration activities around US Medical and 401K benefits, including having been an administrator for the plans for employers.
  5. Well versed with the taxation related activities, for payroll taxes, state income tax, sales tax and federal income tax related activities.
  6. Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers compensation.
  7. Negotiate and manage employee contracts, including collective bargaining agreements.
  8. Manage employee data and ensure compliance with data collection and retention regulations.
  9. Utilize HR software systems such as PeopleSoft and Ceridian to manage employee data and benefit administration.
  10. Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  11. Develop and manage HR budgets.
  12. Serve as a liaison to other departments within the organization.
  13. Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
  14. Conduct employee relations and investigations as needed.
  15. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment law, workers compensation, and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a management role.
  3. Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
  4. Experience with HR software systems such as PeopleSoft or any other.
  5. Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
  6. Experience with benefits administration and workers compensation.
  7. Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
