Job Requirements / Description
Duties:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Manage the HR department, including supervising and training HR staff.
- Conduct new hire orientations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Well versed with administration activities around US Medical and 401K benefits, including having been an administrator for the plans for employers.
- Well versed with the taxation related activities, for payroll taxes, state income tax, sales tax and federal income tax related activities.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers compensation.
- Negotiate and manage employee contracts, including collective bargaining agreements.
- Manage employee data and ensure compliance with data collection and retention regulations.
- Utilize HR software systems such as PeopleSoft and Ceridian to manage employee data and benefit administration.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage HR budgets.
- Serve as a liaison to other departments within the organization.
- Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Conduct employee relations and investigations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment law, workers compensation, and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
- Experience with HR software systems such as PeopleSoft or any other.
- Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
- Experience with benefits administration and workers compensation.
- Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
