The Role
AssemblyAI is growing quickly, and we’re searching for a senior, in-house design lead who will play a key role in building state of the art products, and setting the standard for the future of the company and the brand.
Responsibilities
- Engage across all stages of our design projects. You’ll use your skills in concepting, wireframing, prototyping, design systems, user interface, and user research.
- Identify the best design methods to articulate your solutions (flows, prototypes, wireframes, high fidelity design, etc).
- Collaborate with engineering during the implementation phase to carefully translate your designs into incredible products.
- Be the leading voice in ensuring consistent brand execution. You will also work on paid social creative for social media.
About You
- You obsess over the smallest details of the visual, interaction, and experience.
- You are comfortable being the primary or lead designer on product design projects from end to end.
- You're a methodical individual.
- You're comfortable working autonomously.
- You're not afraid to criticize and receive criticism.
- You're eager to try new technologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of in-house design experience.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design.
- Experience designing products for a technical audience (API products, developer tools, etc.) or the ability to write code.
- Proven track record solving complex interaction problems.
- Excellent design sense and familiarity with the latest UX trends.
Skills
- An eye for pixel perfect detail.
- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.
- Excellent organizational skills.
