Burke is actively seeking a dynamic Director or VP of Information Technology to lead the infrastructure of all company technical operations. The level would be determined based upon experience. This pivotal role is charged with architecting and driving the IT strategies and solutions that seamlessly integrate with the strategic plan of the company. This role will guide the IT Team, providing inspired leadership, direction, and management. They will also ensure the IT platform adheres to regulatory practices, eradicates security risks, and boosts customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage Infrastructure, Security, and IT Administration functions focused on a variety of operational business needs and projects.
- Manage the Information Technology, IT Security, and Compliance staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff members; establishing priorities; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; maintaining performance standards; and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
- Create an annual operating and capital budget in partnership with the leadership. Develop annual department budget and ensure expenditures are consistent with budgeted costs.
- Manage contracts, relationships, and negotiations with third-party vendors for various IT systems.
- Manage and participate in the planning and implementation of security standards, practices, and procedures to ensure system security and legal compliance.
- Lead daily security operations for all on-premise, hosted, and cloud infrastructure, storage, systems, and networks.
- Develop, schedule, test, and communicate the IT Disaster Recovery plan and procedures.
- Establish the vision for the organization to improve security, enhance user experience, and stay up to date on current best practices.
- Evaluate network security and recommend/implement safeguards necessary to maintain adequate security.
- Oversee IT Security Engineer role as it manages Microsoft 365 Security and compliance, conducts routine and annual audits, and manages other aspects of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Develop Corrective Actions to remediate Security Incidents.
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
- Minimum 10+ years of proven work experience in the management of PC hardware and software support; proficiency with Windows and MS Office products in a Windows Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience in technology planning, project planning, and team leadership, as well as establishing and managing service measures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Experience in managing comprehensive enterprise-wide information security and IT risk management programs is required.
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend/develop practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Ability to manage teams of technicians and effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus solid organization, presentation, and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Defender (endpoint, cloud apps, and email), Purview and DLP, Intune, Sentinel, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, and SQL scripting.
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity and ISO 27001 certification or similar information security control frameworks.
- Project management certification and/or a master’s degree in business administration are highly recommended.
