SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER

One of our clients in NYC is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead and direct the Infrastructure Operations and Security Team in accordance with organizational policies and strategic goals. The Senior Infrastructure Manager is a highly technical hands-on leader who is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, security, and reliable operations of the company’s infrastructure, data centers, cloud environments, disaster recovery plan, servers, networks, phone systems, as well as core business applications and supporting software. The Senior Infrastructure Manager leads infrastructure planning and projects, manages vendors, and makes recommendations to improve the infrastructure and environments, and partners with the Vice President, Information Technology to develop the annual infrastructure budget.

The Senior Infrastructure Manager serves as a public-facing member of the IT team and is responsible for the timely resolution of all infrastructure-related and end-user-related technical issues. The Senior Infrastructure Manager ensures the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient, performing optimally, up-to-date, and strategically sound, reflecting Institute’s needs and best practices in creating value for the company.

Information Security Responsibilities

1. Attend/complete assigned information security training by the designated completion date
2. Read and adhere to published ISMS policies and procedures
3. Report timely any observed violations of ISMS policy - or known encroachments on information security - to your department leader and/or the Information Technology Department

Education and Experience

1. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in an infrastructure related area, during which both professional and tactical capabilities have been demonstrated, is required
2. 10+ years of IT management experience in a large IT environment (500+ servers)
3. 5+ years of packet level IP protocol analysis and troubleshooting
4. 2 Years of SAN management
5. 8+ years of process management experience
6. 3+ years managing a Kubernetes environment utilizing Rancher is required
7. Microsoft and Cisco systems certification desired
8. Very strong project management skills with 5+ years of experience managing large-scale projects
9. 5+ years designing and administering very complex networks comprised of Microsoft Windows and IP protocols

1. Must be a self-starter with a burning desire to excel and broaden the scope of enterprise class infrastructure design and administration
2. Proven hands-on technical leadership abilities with demonstrable experience working in a broad range of environments
3. An effective manager with excellent team leadership skills
4. Ability to work under stress with time-critical deadlines and expectations
5. Excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
6. Excellent analytical ability, sound judgment, and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers, IT management and managers from all business areas of the company
