What You’ll Do
As the Associate Manager, Product Planning you will join the team that manages Samsung’s product planning and enablement for DRAM products. The memory product planning team in the US, in collaboration with Korean HQ, is in the front and center of enabling next-generation memory products (DDR/HBM/GDDR/LPDDR). Working with customers and eco-system partners in the server and consumer vertical, this team defines the memory portfolio/specs/features for the largest semiconductor company in the world. This team consists of professionals who possess a fine mix of high level technical understanding as well as business acumen. Location: You will be working onsite at our San Jose headquarters at least 3 days per week. Job ID: 41386. Travel up to 15% of the time.
- Ensure products are enabled & validated with OEMs/Partners/SOC makers on time, in pre-launch phase for timely final-launch.
- Act as liaison between the customer and internal resources for technology enablement and open lab activities.
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports by distilling 360-degree view of the market (must demonstrate mix of technical and business savvy).
- Present at technical conferences covering new and future product or technical demonstration.
- Align internal (within Samsung) and external (with partners/OEMs) interests to be able to successfully productize ideas.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
- Bachelors with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred.
- Must have experience with Data Memory products, specifically DRAM.
- Proficiency in simultaneously working with US colleagues, Korean HQ, and customers to influence decisions with strong understanding of product & technology road-maps.
- The ability to keep on track and build relationships with ecosystem and IP partners to oversee memory component roadmaps and technical activities.
- An acute awareness of status and strategy of competitors, SOC vendors, OEMs and market growth drivers and understanding on the dynamics behind and key stakeholders.
- Clear understanding of DRAM product specs/features, systems, and applications - based on solid understanding, propose new product concepts, business development, and collaboration opportunities.
- You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance. This is in addition to our diverse package of benefits centered around the wellbeing of our employees and their loved ones. Base Pay Range $82,096—$188,800 USD.
