Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Product and Technology Solutions is responsible for leadership, strategy, and vision for all aspects of the company’s Technology platform, ensuring that the company’s Technology and data solutions, software architecture, design, implementation, and delivery support the company’s strategic goals. This includes the creation and implementation of a team (including Product Development, DevOps, Data Warehouse and Reporting, Quality Assurance, Coding & Testing) that will enable the technical direction of applications and solutions within and across business area portfolios is strongly aligned with the business strategy.

This role will work closely with the Vice President of IT Operations and Cybersecurity to ensure that technical standards, frameworks, and processes are applicable across multiple applications and business capability areas. This role will be at the forefront of shaping a target architecture and roadmap that are not just reactive and adaptable, but also maintainable and capable of evolving with minimum disruption and cost to support emerging technology trends.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Oversee product delivery by creating processes, roadmaps, and strategies to turn the company vision and business objectives into reality. As part of this process, the VP will:
  1. Create and execute a product, architecture and engineering roadmap.
  2. Assess opportunities, risks, and drive decisions to best ensure the company’s competitive advantage.
  3. Communicate our product and technology strategy to clients, partners and stakeholders.
  4. Make the business case for any new product, major enhancement and or technology initiatives.
  • Be the voice of innovation and technological development for the company, anticipating growth needs and being proactive to ensure the technology solutions are aligned with the company’s growth.
  • Ownership of the specification, architecture, and implementation of company’s technology products and solutions.
  • Manage demand lifecycle by partnering with the business to identify and deliver strategic initiatives, aligned with the business objectives.
  • Facilitate the dialogue between IT and business stakeholders, scoping initiatives and improving product and solutions planning and delivery.
  • Deliver new or upgraded technology capabilities and product(s) by leading cross-functional technology teams in prioritizing, planning, executing, and managing technology projects according to timelines, value, risk, budgets and agile methodologies and processes.
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove risks that slow down or prevent development teams from delivering on program outcomes throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Conduct short- and long-term team design and resource planning to meet goals.
  • Partner with the leadership team to create and implement critical solutions development functions and attract and hire appropriately to achieve goals.
  • Coach, develop and manage the Product and Solutions IT team by setting, monitoring and meeting KPI’s.
  • Nurture and grow our culture of curious problem solving, testing and shared learning.
  • Ensure clear and constantly improving delivery and quality assurance processes.
  • Stay on top of relevant tech trends, tools and resources.
  • Represent Episode Solutions technology capabilities in various external settings with key customers, investors, partners, etc.
  • Foster and expand brand value for organizations’ technology division and other relevant areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with large scale data systems.
  • Comfortable working with 3rd party development teams that are overseas.
  • Experience in developing and leading SaaS/PaaS product offerings using cloud technology.
  • Healthcare experience, specifically value based care organization.
  • Extensive experience with at least one of the cloud offerings such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
  • 7+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry (experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with technical teams).
  • 5+ years of experience leading software development projects with aggressive schedules and large business impact.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban etc.).
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset that focuses on putting the customer first.
  • Experience in demand management, technology program management, and portfolio management.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring leaders.
  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and equally adept in communicating to all levels.
  • Lead senior committee meetings with key stakeholders to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues.
  • Ability to provide on-going visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders.

Work Environment:

The role routinely uses digital solutions to manage, store, and share information. Key characteristics of the environment include digital documentation, electronic communication, cloud storage, digital signatures, workflow automation, and digital security. This position will have direct access to ePHI and must comply with HIPAA regulations.

Travel:

10% travel may be required.
