Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases, ensuring that all necessary items are available and ready for use.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures, proactively providing instruments and assistance as required.
  • Assist in all aspects of surgical procedures, maintaining awareness of the surgical field and responding to the requests of the surgical team.
  • Take responsibility for case cleanup, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly disposed of or sterilized after use.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transportation, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
  • Contribute to room turnovers, preparing the operating room for the next procedure and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
