Our hospital client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Finance Systems Manager to join their Finance Department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both finance and technology, with a focus on technical expertise and hands-on experience with Workday. As a Finance Systems Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions to optimize financial processes.

Location: Staten Island, NY (onsite 4 days per week)

Responsibilities:

Financial Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department.
  • Analyze current financial workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize advanced technical skills to analyze, interpret, and manipulate financial data.
  • Provide support towards the implementation, upgrade, and technical maintenance of financial systems applications
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of financial systems, tools, and applications.

Workday Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Leverage expertise in Workday to implement, configure, and maintain financial modules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, configure solutions, and troubleshoot issues related to Workday Financial Management.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to provide key financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to extract meaningful patterns and trends, supporting informed decision-making within the finance department.

Business Requirements Gathering:

  • Engage with finance stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create comprehensive documentation for financial processes, system configurations, and customizations.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes.

Other

  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and inquiry requests.
  • Coordinate and provide end-user training, as necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Manager in the finance domain, with a focus on technology integration.
  • Strong technical proficiency, with expertise in Workday Financial Management.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Certification in Financial Management.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems and financial tools beyond Workday.
