Job Summary
The Director of Procurement & Contract Integrity oversees the business portfolio's purchasing and supply chain functions. This role involves strategizing and managing the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring cost-efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the facility's/portfolio's operational needs and patient care objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications :
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management with contract integrity in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of JACHO, CMS, and state regulations for post-acute care facilities.
  • Ability to work with clinicians and key stakeholders collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement practices, inventory management, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions :
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish procurement policies.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for cost savings and value. Reviews all PAR level utilization.
  • Assists all department directors in the budget process, which includes operating and capital budget preparation and maintenance.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, address issues, and ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Oversee inventory management processes to ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and monitor usage patterns to optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate with departments to assess and forecast supply needs.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of procurement activities to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and safety of procured goods and services.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and present procurement-related financial reports and analyses to executive leadership.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with clinical, administrative, and operational staff to understand their needs and ensure timely and efficient procurement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate procurement activities and resolve issues.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory records.
