Axim Collaborative is a nonprofit focused on broadening access to education and deepening the impact of digital innovations and learning opportunities for the millions of learners who have faced barriers in realizing their education and career aspirations. About the Technology Innovation Director role
In this role, you will identify and foster the development of innovative tools and technology-enabled solutions that can meaningfully improve student access and success in post-secondary education in the US. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and creative role that drives partnerships with technology innovators and institutions of higher education to develop solutions in the service of student outcomes.
This is a hybrid role, and candidates must be willing to commute to the Cambridge office 1-2 days per week. This role will also require occasional travel to partner sites, conferences and in-office meetings.
Requirements
- Identify and evaluate technology products, new innovative solutions, and vendors that have the potential to significantly improve student outcomes, in particular for broad access higher education
- Stay current with emerging trends and innovations in technology and their potential applications for student outcomes
- Work closely with project partners to define success metrics and embed them into technology platforms and implementations
- Support partners to link product development to student outcomes and impact goals with an eye on sustainable financial models and scale
- Project-manage technology-innovation partnerships and multi-stakeholder collaborations, nurturing relationships, tracking and documenting progress, and identify barriers
- Identify new technology partnership opportunities and contribute to Axim's grant making strategy and thought leadership related to technology innovation
- Represent Axim at conferences, workshops, and other relevant events
- Deep commitment to equity, and experience applying an equity lens in all strategies and work streams
- Minimum of 4-7 years experience experience developing or implementing innovative technology-solutions with a clear link to increasing student access and/or success in broad access higher education (community colleges, large public universities, minority-serving institutions).
- Strong understanding of the current state of technology solutions for higher education. Familiarity with key vendors and solutions in particular those used by broad access institutions.
- Ability to engage effectively with external partners and add value to relationships, especially in the context of technology implementation and education transformation projects.
- Experience working as part of a dynamic technology organization or team responsible for developing and implementing new solutions with college or university partners.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Salary Description
$160,000 - 200,000/yr commensurate with experience
