Summary of Position :
This position will support 500+ active users in areas including hardware support, software support, internet/intranet access, telephone systems support, etc. to assure a smooth end-user experience. This position will require knowledge of computer and network systems, applications, procedures, and protocols; ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems; strong customer service and excellent interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
  • Provide full life-cycle technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. May handle escalated support tickets from the Service Desk Technician I.
  • Organize IT Inventory and assist with additional procurement.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Perform technical assistance for users during scheduled On-Call rotation.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in service management tool.
  • Setup and decommission VoIP desk phones for users.
  • Maintain computer images and deploy to new computers.
  • Execute onboarding process for new users.
  • Execute offboarding process for exiting users.
  • Manage printer fleet by supporting users and contacting vendor support when needed.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with users to ensure the issue has been resolved.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
  • Provide support for A/V systems in conference rooms.
  • Involved in creating documentation and training materials.
  • Train computer users as needed.
  • Maintain Active Directory user objects.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to security protocols and policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests through various communication channels.
  • Takes ownership of projects and responsibilities, displaying a high level of accountability and initiative.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient planning and execution of work to meet established deadlines.
Education & Experience :
  • Associates degree in computer science or information technology with 3-5 years of experience in a progressive IT role working with hardware/support software and network systems applications or a high school diploma with 6+ years of experience in a progressive IT role working with hardware/support software and network systems applications.
  • Industry certifications preferred.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry a plus.
Travel & Additional Requirements :
  • Work is performed at a CIVI location M-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Friday.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • Travel may be required to the Civitas field locations.

This position is required to participate in the on-call rotation schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to provide 24/7 support and meet service level agreements.
