Job Description

Digital OSS (Operations Support System) Solution Architect focuses on leveraging digital technologies to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of OSS in telecommunications and IT service management. Their duties and responsibilities extend beyond traditional OSS roles to incorporate modern digital trends such as automation, AI/ML, cloud computing, and advanced analytics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Digital Transformation Strategy:

    • Develop and implement a digital transformation strategy for OSS systems.

    • Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies to improve operational efficiencies and customer experiences.

    • Align digital OSS initiatives with overall business strategy and goals.

  2. Solution Design and Architecture:

    • Design end-to-end digital OSS solutions that incorporate cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API-driven integrations.

    • Develop architectural blueprints that include modern technologies such as AI/ML, big data analytics, and IoT.

    • Ensure solutions are scalable, flexible, and aligned with industry best practices.

  3. Requirement Analysis and Business Alignment:

    • Collaborate with Business analysts to analyze digital business requirements.

    • Translate business needs into technical specifications with a focus on digital capabilities.

    • Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for new digital projects and enhancements.

  4. System Integration and Automation:

    • Design and oversee the integration of digital OSS components with existing systems and emerging technologies.

    • Implement automation solutions to streamline network operations, service delivery, and customer support.

    • Ensure seamless interoperability with BSS (Business Support Systems), network elements, and third-party applications.

  5. Technical Leadership and Innovation:

    • Provide technical leadership & guidance on the adoption of digital technologies within OSS.

    • Drive innovation by exploring new digital trends and technologies.

    • Mentor and guide development teams in implementing digital solutions.

  6. Vendor and Ecosystem Management:

    • Evaluate and select appropriate digital OSS products and technologies from vendors.

    • Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and service providers.

    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions.

  7. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Develop and enforce digital architectural standards and best practices.

    • Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and system audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

    • Define and implement testing strategies for digital OSS solutions to ensure robustness and reliability.

  8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for digital architecture designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.

    • Assist in training and user adoption to end-users on digital OSS systems.

  9. Performance Optimization and Analytics:

    • Analyze system performance using advanced analytics and identify opportunities for optimization.

    • Implement improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability of digital OSS systems.

  10. Continuous Improvement and Learning:

    • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in digital OSS technologies and methodologies.

    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the architecture and engineering teams.

    • Identify and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance digital OSS capabilities.

KPIs:

  1. Yearly Iteration of 3-5 year Architecture Blueprint and Roadmap
  2. 100% delivery of design documents per project
  3. RFP Recommendation together with Procurement
  4. MTS Approval and Budget Availment as Planned.

  2. 3-5 Year Architecture Roadmap
  3. Design Documents (HLD/LLD, E2E Connectivity)
  4. RFI/RFP and Technology Scan

SKILLS:

Soft: Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and drive digital initiatives.

Hard: Strong knowledge of digital OSS domains and technologies (e.g., cloud computing, microservices, AI/ML, big data analytics, IoT). Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective digital solutions. Strong analytical skills for requirement analysis, system design, and performance optimization.

Certification/License: Any certification a plus but not required.

COMPETENCIES:

Core Competencies: Ability to make data driven decisions in creating Solution Designs. Experience with software development, system integration, and automation. Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools for digital transformation.

Support Competencies: Understanding of agile project management principles and methodologies.

Developmental Competencies: Experience on Process transformation and creation of digital workflow tools.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience: 3-5 Years in Solutions Architecture specializing on AI/ML and Process Transformation. Prior experience in telecommunications or network-focused industries specializing on solutions for Digital operations and Network Automations.

Level of Knowledge: All Advanced Proficiency in the following: Enterprise Architecture, AI/ML Architecture and Engineering, Planning and Design, Procurement and Sourcing, Platform Engineering, Software Development, Data Management, Visionary and Strategic Thinker, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking, Communication Skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
