Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Associate Medical Director to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The NYC Health + Hospitals Street Health Outreach and Wellness (SHOW) program utilizes mobile units to provide health screenings, vaccinations, wound care, and basic material necessities to New Yorkers who are unsheltered. A further goal of the program is to connect patients to NYC Health + Hospitals facility-based clinics, where they can receive ongoing medical care. Lincoln is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University .

Responsibilities

  • This position will be partially based at facility-based Primary Care Safety Net Clinic and partially based out of mobile clinics as part of the Street Health Outreach and Wellness program.
  • While staffing the mobile clinic, canvas surrounding neighborhoods to engage with patients experiencing homelessness.
  • Offer limited medical services while encouraging patients to visit the van or clinic for further evaluation and services.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including teaching medical students and/or residents.
  • Robust analytic support from the Office of Ambulatory Care & Population Health.
  • Access provided to NYC Health + Hospitals Quality Academy training for emerging leaders.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • X-waiver for prescribing buprenorphine or willingness to obtain one.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $205,000* (board eligible); $210,000* (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $320,700** (board eligible) and $326,520** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you. Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
