POSITION OVERVIEW
A Consumer Portfolio Manager is seeking an Analyst who will conduct research, analyze companies, and help generate ideas within the team’s coverage areas, which include but are not limited to Consumer staples, discretionary, restaurants, gaming, lodging, leisure, internet, and streaming media platforms. The ideal candidate will have minimum 2+ years of buy-side equity research experience in a similar role. The Analyst will report to the PM and will interact with other investment professionals and Senior PMs within the broader team. All employees are expected to uphold the firm’s culture of collaboration across teams. The successful candidate can expect a great deal of responsibility, exposure and ownership from day-one and will play a key role in the investment process from start to finish. The successful Analyst will have the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as is desired and, with demonstrated strong performance, will have an exciting growth trajectory at the firm. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct company and industry fundamental research to develop a deep understanding of key business and industry drivers within the coverage universe and other related/adjacent industries.
- Independently generate creative idiosyncratic long and short ideas.
- Support the research efforts of the Portfolio Manager.
- Clearly and effectively communicate and articulate actionable equity ideas to colleagues.
- Create, maintain, and update company financial models.
- Explore and stay informed of emerging trends/initiatives/companies which are or who may become important innovators.
- Attend roadshows, meetings, conferences and other company or industry events as required.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong academic record from a competitive institution – bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience conducting investment research or financial analysis comprised of: Minimum 2+ years of buy-side public equity research experience and minimum 2+ years of additional investment analysis experience such as Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity or similar.
- Demonstrated passion for the equity markets, investing and analyzing companies as well as passion/interest in the subject matter.
- Professional experience building financial models combined with strong forensic accounting knowledge.
- Professional or educational experience working with data.

The Firm offers a total compensation package that includes a base salary and discretionary performance-related bonus, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Consistent with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the currently anticipated base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000, which is specific to New York City and New York State. When crafting an offer of employment and total compensation package for candidates, the Firm may incorporate a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
