Senior Elixir Engineer

hackajob have partnered with an online platform for sports betting and fantasy sports. We are currently looking for a Senior Elixir Engineer to join the growing team.

Role: Senior Elixir Engineer

Location: Boston, MA

Work model: Hybrid

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, particularly with scalable systems, with proficiency in Elixir, Erlang, and functional programming.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, containerized microservices, data grids, and auto-scaling environments.
• Expertise in event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ or Kafka, as well as familiarity with Liveview, OTP, and SQL databases like PostgreSQL.
• Strong skills in multi-threading, concurrency, and building resilient systems, including developing automated test suites across all architectural levels.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on real-time problem-solving to improve customer experience.

Offer: Up to $145K salary depending on experience + benefits package
