We are looking for an Accounts Receivables Specialist, who will be responsible for managing accounts receivables, creating detailed reports, and maintaining budget goals.
Essential Functions of this role include:
1. On a daily basis, researches and inputs cash receipts data into the computer and verifies by comparison to the bank deposit. Distributes edit lists to various departments.
2. Prepares and verifies deposits and posts cash receipts to accounts receivable.
3. Creates invoices with proper backup and mailing to customers.
4. Maintains accurate customer files; keeps track of name changes, mergers, address changes, and mailing attentions for all divisions. Relays this information to the appropriate personnel.
5. Works with the collections manager to reconcile accounts receivable balances at least twice annually.
6. Assists the collections manager and other appropriate staff on research of customer discrepancies and past-due amounts. Generates standard past-due/collections correspondence and reviews files to identify delinquent accounts. Contacts delinquent accounts to request payment.
7. Upon request, provides special reports reflecting current status of customer accounts.
8. Prepares vouchers and special information on appropriate invoices.
9. Duplicates, files, and retrieves accounts receivable material as needed.
10. Generates monthly billing statements taken from the general ledger.
11. Assists the accounting manager in monthly reconciliation of revenue accounts.
To succeed, you will need to have:
1. High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in accounting.
2. Two years' relevant work experience, including experience processing invoices and checks and making and preparing bank deposits.
3. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and accounting software.
4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and applications.
7. Strong analytical and time management skills.
8. Able to read instructions, numbers and write legibly in English.
9. Able to lift 10lbs, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch, and kneel. Able to sit for long periods of time.
