HR OPERATIONS COORDINATOR / PAYROLL
Enza Zaden in Salinas, CA is looking for a highly motivated HR professional to join our team.
What will you do?
As an HR Operations Coordinator focused on Payroll, you will provide administrative support as follows;
• You will process payroll for the USA & Canada using ADP Workforce Now.
• You will be responsible for the preparation of payroll changes to ensure timely and correct payroll administration. You will process and monitor garnishment orders and other matters that impact payroll.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
• You will train managers and employees regarding HR policies including payroll policies, processes, systems, and tools.
• Signal payroll process bottlenecks, initiate improvements, and prepare and update processes.
• You will manage the monthly benefits premium reconciliation process.
• You will be the main contact for payroll audits and the creation of payroll related reports as needed.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date personnel administration that complies with local legislation.
• You will be a contact between HR and the finance department and provide administrative support on all personnel matters.
• You will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and administration of HR processes and programs including but not limited to onboarding, transfer, and offboarding.
• Other duties as assigned to support the department's success.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or HR certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of payroll experience, multi-state preferred.
  • Experience with the ADP and/or Workday, HR software system is highly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of California labor laws, multi-state preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English, understanding, speaking, and writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • You have a valid driver's license and are an eligible driver under the company's insurance company.

Compensation & Benefits:
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the pay range and benefits for the position posted. The compensation offered to the successful candidate depends on experience, skills, education, work location, and other objective job-related factors.
Estimated starting pay range $27.80 - $33.80 per hour.
