Job Title: Automation EngineerClassification: Salary ExemptDepartment: Automation DepartmentReports to: ManagerShift: M-FPurpose :The Automation Engineer is responsible for setting the standards for the department, including processes, training, data collection, reporting, and drawing standards. Moreover, the incumbent will be applying these standards to kaizen, problem solving, and changing the standard to better control the processes. Refining and standardizing the department to reduce waste, increase productive, and removing the issues. A focus on automation projects will be a must.General Duties :Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports including budget planning, KPI Tracking, and Project timeline updatesAnalyze and interpret drawings, manuals, and other technical information to determine specifications and measurement procedures.Generate / Revise drawings as needed to ensure system integrity.Setup and track the Department Standards using studies, data, and trials.Follow all department safety rules and regulations including facility PPE requirements.Work as part of a cross functional team to improve new / existing equipment.Skills :Strong verbal and written communication.Able to work with AB or Mitsubishi controls.Ability to create drawings for electrical systemsExcellent problem solving and time management.Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment.Good knowledge of GD&T, measurement system analysis, and metrology.Basic statistical knowledge including performing capability studies.AutoCAD 2D and Inventor or Solid Works 3D drawing softwareAbility to work with minimal supervision when required.Requirements :High school diploma or equivalent is requiredAdvance AutoCAD training using 2D or 3D softwarePrior experience working in a multi-cultural company a bonus.2 yr Technical School Certificate or B.S. in Mechanical/ Electrical Controls /Manufacturing Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Experience in automotive sector is preferred.Knowledge of machine/fabricated components and knowledge of trade terminology preferred.Powered by JazzHR
