The Prime Video 1st Party Device Experiences team owns the Prime Video Fire TV experience on Fire TV Sticks and television sets as well as Prime Video’s integration with Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa. We obsess about the Prime Video customer experience on all FireTV devices worldwide with the mission to make Fire TV the best place to experience and stream Prime Video. We own developing, launching, and maintaining the PV application on both existing and next-gen FireTV devices. We optimize for driving engagement on Fire TV across all points in the customer lifecycle from awareness, acquisition, onboarding and activation, engagement, and retention.

Key job responsibilities

As a Principal Product Manager – Tech, you will help define the vision and build the roadmap for the future of Prime Video on Fire TV. You will participate in developing the strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps translated into crisp business requirements and user stories to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional working not only across teams internal to Prime Video such as engineering, personalization, UX, research, marketing, and finance, but also across organizations, partnering closely with FireTV and Alexa to improve the customer experience and drive key decisions which enable Prime Video to meet its mission of becoming a global entertainment destination. You will leverage mental models and data-driven decision-making, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with leaders at all levels. You will define a set of input/output metrics across the two orgs that can enable teams to partner on a shared roadmap. You will regularly present to and gain buy-in from senior leadership for the vision, goals, and roadmap of your charter.

We are looking for someone with experience in driving cross-functional projects. You must possess strong business judgement, a deep customer-centric mindset, interest in the streaming landscape, and technical proficiency that enables you to synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products that customers love. The ability to navigate trade-offs, ambiguity, and influence without authority are critical.

About The Team

The Prime Video Global App Experience team is responsible for defining and building the Prime Video experience on a range of devices on web, mobile, living room, and next-gen platforms.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  2. 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  3. Bachelor's degree
  4. Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  5. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  6. Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  7. Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  2. Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  3. Experience in streaming and/or digital media and ad tech

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
