We are looking for an experienced and dynamic VP of Finance to provide financial leadership and guidance to our team. This individual will be responsible for managing all financial operations and will play a critical role in shaping The Volume’s future success. This is a hybrid role based out of our LA or NYC office. Candidates will be expected to come into the office 3-4 days a week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and/or quarterly reports on financial performance, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to support decision-making through financial insights and analysis.
  • Provide analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions by the C-suite.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including investors, accountants, and financial institutions.
  • Oversee financial data integration across company systems (NetSuite, Excel, QuickBooks).

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics required (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • You have 10+ years of experience (Digital Media or Podcasting experience preferred).
  • You have proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within startups or high-growth environments.
  • You have a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • You have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.

Salary range for this role is 250,000 - 300,000 USD. Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.
